Louis,
Your paintings of poppies remind me of the paper cut-outs of Matisse! Search on Google "Matisse cut-outs". Your use of red yellow green and blue colours on the photo 2 is really suggestive of Matisse graphisms and his watercolor effects of colors. Your compositions are good, because of your use of the empty spaces and sizes of the "signs" on the paper.
