By candlelight,a powder of lights, swirl of greens, and in the middle,a rosebud like a flame, like a promise,so affectionate, so heartwarming...

REMINDS ONE OF MARTIN JOHNSON HEADE'S MAGNOLIAS. WAS BLESSED TO SEE THEM UP CLOSE AND ORIGINAL ONCE.
I UNDERSTAND THE SYMBOLISM WAS THE CLOSED BLOSSOM REPRESENTING BIRTH, PARTIALLY OPENED ONE REPRESENTING YOUTH, AND THE FULLY OPENED BLOSSOM WAS THE PRIME OF LIFE. PERFECT FOR EASTER, WHICH IS A BIG CELEBRATION IN FRANCE, n'est pas?.

HUGS TO LOUIS AND THE HAPPY PARENTS.

A wonderful representation of all the promises that the new season will bring. The painting is magnificent and fills me with joyful anticipation of the beauty of God's spring and summer floral and arboreal creations. You've capture that feeling so well. Joyeux Paques. (sorry I have no circonflexe on my keyboard. Jeannine

This is an elegant Easter gift. Thank you, Julian.

I hope that the rain clears so that you Ruth and Louis can enjoy a perfect spring day.

Painter’s notes

The fruit trees are in blossom but the weather has been heavy and showery culminating tonight in a violent storm—let's hope it clears everything up for the easter weekend
