I really like the figs. They are really true!
I like the complementary color scheme and how you captured the surface texture of the figs. Nice composition too. Great work!
Chauvet's figs or not... Nous les apprécions légèrement molles Lorsque pleines de sucs elles collent En figure ou en peinture on en raffole
Julian, I love the sense of mystery in this one, and the cool blues are amazing. It reminds me of my grandparent's farm when I was a child. There was a large fig tree behind the house. I loved the texture of the figs as a child. www.doncokerart.com/blog
Lovely ...they remind me of the three small Romanesque knights in the poster from the Burrell; whatever happened to that? :)
Yes I remember that well, the poster is probably rolled up somewhere with all my film posters—I seldom throw anything away!
(unfortunately for me!)
Hi Julian Each of these figs has its own personality. For some reason clowns or a rolly polly children's toy come to mind. The figs seem ready to dance. You've moved the intense blue of the sky in your recent landscapes indoors along with the purple, light green and gold colours in the fileds. There is humour in this painting. I really like that! I hope the renovations are proceeding well.
"fileds" should be fields----I did edit, but missed that. Time for my morning coffee.
