How do you get the edges of plate (elliptical shape)so even? Besides being a pro, any tips?

I can always tell when an artist can ‘see’ .. your work certainly shows that you can. These peaches have a beauty all of their own. I also love the quiet and simplicity of your still life paintings.
The peaches are so lovely .
