“I've just arrived in Menorca where I'm attending a workshop led by a wonderful young painter by the name of Hollis Dunlap . It's a spectacular setting though we'll be mostly painting from a model in a studio, however I shall attempt to get up early (or paint late) in order to show you where we are, Port Mahon is just around the corner for all you Patrick o'Brian officiandos. This meanwhile is another demo from last week's workshop in Provence.”

Hi Julian,
I just took my first Figure Painting class w/ Hollis near my recently new hometown, Old Lyme, CT. Last year I took a one month plein air class in the same area. Oil yet. He is terrific. Especially w/ figures. I may send along a demo of his. Anyway, I know you will enjoy him, a bit quirky = good artist. Do not mention my name.
