“Events conspired against me so my plan to drive to Vaison-la-Romaine market to buy some quinces (for it is the season) came to nothing... so lemons are all we had in the house, hence, here are some lemons. Louis' birthday tomorrow, the conspiracy continues!”

Went to see the Turner's at the Tate! The unfinished ones were remarkable.

The lemons are lovely and birthdays never arrive twice. We were in Vaisson yesterday and day before on bike trip so got both ruins and Tues market. What a wonderful place!
