As an admirer of your paintings and a novice painter, I have been inspired to try and capture the atmosphere of your still life pictures. I love the way the light intensity seems deliberately dim and dusky and I have tried to recreate this. The problem is I can't see clearly enough to capture any detail. What's the secret?
Lovely, as usual. I admire the way you get the white-ish "film" or coating on those plums. So skillully done!
Glad I'm not the only one! I don't like stopping until I'm done. I'll have to practice more in recovering like you have. This is very successful. You'd never know you were struggling.
The secret is in the question - don't concern your self with detail!
