I took a bite and it was gooooooooood. All the sins of the world disappeared. ?Judythe
Wicked! !No-o-o! Snow White.... On another note... I have missed Ruth's presence!
And yes, I know it's a pear! Lol
I find your paintings interesting --However, I feel you are becoming rather repetitive--in subject matter & value design in these small paintings. I wonder, if you expanded your " format "---you might find it more fulfilling & challenging in the " Long Run " ADF
I really miss you guys....
Ignore that ADF.
How very wrong can a man be. Your various takes on a subject are more than interesting and proof of the ways you see and portray the world. What he has forgotten are the haystacks, the cathedral fronts and the water lilies.
Beautiful...Glowing...Perfection !!!
I really enjoy recognizing familiar objects featuring in the still lives and their placing on slabs of stone or wood. Does "Chardin's silver goblet"(as I call it),the Delftware vase, the Spanish pottery dish, apples, pears and mandarins and other, sometimes eccentric "props" (beat up old tin box with traces of turquoise paint and rust, juxtaposed with elegant, sleek aubergine) ever appear repetitive? No, not in my opinion. And I don't think standards have dropped, just look at the cheese, bread and glass of vine a few days ago. That is the fascination of the daily paintings. One day a pear may be imbued with more painterly magic than usual.. an artists inspiration waxes and wanes, why, maybe its the constellation of the stars, who knows? Always beautiful, sometimes sublime!
