when i was in school, we all learned to recite a poem: In Flanders fields the poppies grow, between the crosses, row by row.....never really was able to visualize the fields of poppies until yr paintings....thanks, julian. gfs

This is great: the perfect balance/description of poppies near and far! Just what I WANTED to do.

I'm going to memorize it. (maybe it's not too late to fix my poppy painting)

I really like the placement of the orange poppies, dividing the composition almost, but not quite, in half. Just perfect.

The poppies are great but I really love the trees in the background.

How wonderful it must be to see a sight such as this!! I've never seen a field of poppies but thanks to your skill and generosity in sharing your work, I can gain a better "feel" for how lovely it must be!
