Julian I love white tulips. These are beautiful. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas with your family. My daughter was married on New Years Eve. I did all the flowers... White hydrangea, white roses...and the tables were white tulips. Home with a cold today...I opened up your email...& there were your beautiful white tulips.. Merci!

First of all: Also best wishes for all of you. I love your tulips. Bought some pink ones the other day. I find it daring to paint just the two. And.. the result is perfect. Thanks for this lesson. Remember you wanted us to look after your house, about 10 years ago, around december? Well, this is me. bye Marjan

The quality of the petals is both painterly and realistic. Very soft, very fragile petals. I love them. I hope 2013 is a wonderful year for us all.

The tulips are captivating. I love the texture and moistness you achieved on the leaves and the softness of the petals. Happy New Year to you and yours. (This would make a nice giclee.)

I think flowers are among the most difficult of painters subjects, these are lovely. I love the eloquence of that soft curved shadow on the front tulip and how that beautiful dark olive green of the back leaf provides a springboard for the stunning bright greens creamy whites.
