Wonderful play with those yellows.
I just saw Tiepolo's "Alexander with the Women of Darius" in the Detroit Museum of Fine Arts. He played around with yellows in that painting, too, very much as you did here. If you'd like to see, you can google it. Look at the most saturated version; it's the one that most like Tiepolo's actual painting.

PS. I'm glad you rescued the spectacular leaves - so crisp and light next to the heavy and mellow fruit!

Painter’s notes

The last quince on the tree; it fell of in my hand as I tried in vain to get it with leaves (the leaves came seperately).
