“I'm not sure I've ever painted david's cup from this angle with it's splash of red/orange in the glaze—seemed to suit the subject/composition this time.”

Exquisite.
Absolutely brilliant! LOVE!
Just love the vibrancy of this - the colours, the painting. A visual delight!
Oh, yes you did... that splash is in the painting of Nasturtiums that we are lucky enough to have in our home!
Julian, reflective surfaces are so difficult to paint. I love this image. It is so beautiful with dark and light and slashes of color and then the darkness of the cup and the brilliant red of the fruit. Very wonderful painting. thank you, georgia
Excellent use of complements. Well done.
Those complementary colors are singing to me!
I'LL say that it suits! It's heaven!
Lovely painting...
Vermeer...
Gorgeous :) Really cheers up a grey, rainy Tuscan morning.
I just love how you have captured the high glaze on the blue cup, certainly not easy to achieve as I have experienced in my own work, superb, a Master's touch.
So wonderful. I wanted to bid, but probably would have had to have backed out at the end, just causing the price to go up for the ultimate winner. So lovely. I wish it was on my desk so I could mull over the reflection for hours on end! Congratulations on the years of beauty and delight!
