A very expressive and fascinating masterpiece. The dashes of violet, tender green and white of the field are beguiling.Furthermore,a subtle and intricate sense of geometry and volumes.
An endless feast for the eyes!
Mille bravos!

my dear julian, here I sit in a very hot peterborough new hampshire and the last thing I look at on the computer before ending my day is this lovely wee painting....but best of all are the comments you share with all of us about louis, I so appreciate the personal words. happy summer and thank you for the daily treat!
ps our fields have recently been cut also, big old round bales dot the landscape

Annette

YES! We forget how rough and spikey the hay becomes when harvested and how the sunflowers are almost a yellow-green river when seen in the distance. Perfect.
