aaaaaahhhhhh.... what variety of apple is that? I think I will eat one that looks similar right now!
The last of the apples? Nice. I have one lone pomegranate hanging near the rose bed. Funny how we sometimes miss the gnarly last ones.
An elegant painting. Looks like autumn with an inner warm glow !!!! Love it !!!!
Left...right...north...south...doesn't seem to matter. They are all stunning!
Only you could reveal the light of a single apple in shadow and make it a little masterpiece.
Superb! Just love receiving your posts!
What beautiful darkness.
Looks like someone's been through a fire. I know. I've been through two floods. Things look pretty dark sometimes. Julian, the key to surviving disasters is to recover one square foot per day. More than that is dessert! Very best wishes to you and family. Hang in there.
Good tidings to you! Your apple is wonderful! Your use of light and dark is so perfect, even the paint strokes under the apple in the light are like they were made to be there. Your paintings are a light in my day. Thank you.
We all know that "Arthur Turner" variety is an English cooking apple. But the apple of this painting is the first-ever one of "William Turner" sort,an apple merely to taste with...the eyes.
Simply sublime
The shadows are divine. What colors are they? Do you put them down in one coat? Elinor
Just beautiful. I was told that light from the left is a must. Not sure that I always agree, but this is spectacular.
