“I worked all day on a large still life painting and having used up the short supply of daylight started this under artificial light in the evening; the strong light and shadows suggested the high view point which in turn gave me a challenge with the perspective”

I think this is one of the most original painting of your works:a prototype,an Archetype.
A work at the height of your powers.
Your signature as imprinted in the blue stripe is,in my view, like a symbol:you are today,interlocked, both painter and painting,you are brushstrokes and outlines,you are yin and yang,you are shadows and...lights!

I stood up and looked at the clutter on my desk from the viewpoint in this painting. Then I realized I should do this more often and take photographs from this position. Alain once again was dead-on.
