I gasped with delight when this arrived today.
I love getting up close to the screen and analyzing the brush strokes and then pulling back and marveling how they make the various textures..truly a wonder!
I loved the great background depth of velvety black...(and the pickins' of the day!) At first glance I saw a cork,instead of walnuts. It gave the piece a mischeivously playful air.
I have to tell you...this painting took my breath
away. I forwarded this auction to several artists
who are not subscribers and cannot stop myself
from pulling it up and admiring it. To achieve the
impact you do on such a diminuitive scale is at
once admirable and inspiring. Thank you.
