The Spanish plate confirms my sense that your paintings are taking on a Spanish flavor. Yesterday's painting, which is fabulous with the pumpkin slice, reminds me of Zurbaran or Cotan. Thank you.

Very deep & moody, the softness and warmth of the fruit highlighted by the subtleness of the plate,helps this painting makes a lovely statement for simplicity.
