A fabulous yellow bird is escaped from the delightful cloudy blue sky just beneath it (on the right-hand side nectarine )... And a vivid scorching remembrance of the "incendie du Parlement de Londres" of Turner( 1834-35) on the other nectarine's glowing belly... Gustave Moreau's soul is gliding here...
I love how alain finds the hidden in your work. I believe DeKooning enjoyed looking for the drawings within his paintings. I once made a floral that had in it the spitting image of Jerry Garcia with a pie in his mug! He looks as shocked as I did once I saw it! I love life! I love these nectarines, as well.
