That is just just what my soul needed to see
2001...great start towards 3000!
Painting that beautiful lavender always seems to me like cheating. Like having orange leaves against a blue sky during summer. Except that it's not cheating because the lavender is really there, and you always present it so well!
The atmosphere you cature in this painting takes me back to the days I was in Provence! I can almost smell the lavender... You are such a talent and inspiration!
Dear Julian, the sun baking the roof of the old mas,the woody hills and the mountain side evokes a spirit of "Manon des sources"! The impression of torrid heat over the lavender field seem heightened by the cooling long shadows that also reinforces the perspective. Classic Provence. Anna.
