Julian, the colours in this are absolutely beautiful - thank you so much! x Mhairi
C'est Magnifique!!
superbe, et très délicat, vraiment.
Mhairi Lawson, the famous soprano??? Bob
Goooooooood Morning Provence!!
Damn. Makes me want to get up really early and see what things look like round here... What time was it? 4.30-ish? It's a real skill to be able to get so much light into a dark painting.
Thank you so much; I thought it was a kind of quest for the holy grail, the never-ending kind, I mean; well, it happens, at last; and actually this painting reminds me of a walk I had, from Lyon to the the Cotes du rhone region (the southern part) on a quest for some nectar; and the sunrise we enjoyed was really like the one on the painting. Merci beaucoup, and carry on the good work. G
I envy you G. Lorgos...you are one very lucky person with a very beautiful painting!!
Beautiful!!
I like the landscape with the darker colors used on this one. It still has the appeal of the brighter ones but from a different perspective.
Beautiful. I can feel the cold morning dew. Julian, technical question: what mixing medium do you use on these little gems? Thanks.
Alas, I have experienced just such a sunrise in Provence. Unfortunately, it was on the way to airport in Nice. I was crying all the way as I did not want to go home and wanted to paint one of these sunrises. Maybe someday. Ellen R.
GREAT!!
WONDERFUL!!
Yes, I believe it was THE Mhairi Lawson! You never know who might pop up to comment on a ray of Shifting Light, especially when its one so out of the ordinary and beautiful as this.
très beau , Julian,on sent vraiment la douceur du matin sur le Ventoux...
This one touched me more than all the others!!! Beautiful. Tres Jolie!
