“We had a morning of overcast weather on last week's workshop and so I did this demonstration painting of the vigorously flowering climbing rose growing against the side of the Grange Neuve”

Your still lifes are wonderful but you paint roses as if they are made of limp washed rags. They are actually marvels of crisply defined structure.

I think these roses are wonderful - blowsy, rain washed, with a nod to Impressionism, redolent of passing, brief splendour.
