“So as you can probably see, we have been travelling in the Hebrides where I didn't have much chance to post. This is one of the most famous stretches of sandy beach in Scotland but I was attracted to this terrific shadow cast by a huge rock. The water looks like something tropical (the weather wasn't always this kind!).”

Simply stunning...
Very true colours I'd say!
Beautiful light!!!
Dear Julian, Funnily enough I have just returned from my first ever trip to the Eastern Caribbean And your gorgeous painting exactly captures stunning turquoise colour of the water there. So now I need only go to the Isle of Harris to experience that beauty again! Narguesse
What a superb seascape Julian, you have captured the light and rock formations perfectly. The shadow and puddles in the foreground are sublime and the sky is fantastic too. One of the best paintings of the sea I've ever seen.
A beautiful painting!
It has the essence of a place I would love to explore and paint.
