Spring onions, baby turnips and artichokes

Wonderful!

Every time I receive a Postcard from Provence my spirits are lifted high! That is especially true in these times we live in, marked by fear and isolation. I won’t give it a name, but you surely understand what I am talking about.

Julian’s talent, and his commitment to paint every day, is remarkable. He makes it look so easy, but I acknowlege that it takes a keen eye for composition and color, and a lifetime of skill building. Today’s “Spring Onions, Baby Turnips and Artichokes” has me drooling. Thank you Julian Merrow-Smith. You are a gift, a shifting light in my day.

Dit is wel heel mooi geschilderd hoor, vooral als je weet dat op zo een klein formaat het bijzonder moeilijk is om toch de details goed weer te geven.

These veggies look ready for a lovely pasta dish. "pasta with spring vegetables" - sounds good to me. Gorgeous painting.
