Hi Julian, this is so beautiful and inspiring. Small paintings of everyday objects, that can be painted indoors at home, have a new significance in this strange new world in which we find ourselves. Stay safe and well and thank you for brightening my email inbox with your beautiful paintings.
Julian, your paintings speak to us in a very eloquent way.
I am running out of superlatives, but I don’ think I have used this one.
IT’S MAGICAL!!!
Kind regards, Graham Lomas
Julian and Ruth, and Louis,
Yes, it's the same here: very few people on the roads or walks. We are all trying to stay safe and sane.
I'm painting! One lesson I've learned is to learn from my mistakes.
God bless.
Mary Ellen
Dear Julian,
What is a Roscoff onion? Is it particular to Provence? It is quite lovely in your painting with the brown bottle. Thanks for giving me something attractive to look at and interesting to think about--e.g., also, what was in the bottle originally?
Cheers,
Linda
Love your paintings popping into my inbox, especially during this time of isolation. This one puts me in mind of a William Nicholson. The depth of dark in that bottle is wonderful. Thankyou from a mountain in Ireland!
