Hi Julian, I am disappointed that the white of the cloth is so very discolored looking. It looks to have been wrung out with some unwashed carrots' carrot juice. As always, the composition itself is nealy flawless, but what is that sticking out at the far left of the lemon. It seems that your old paintings with this cloth had more whiteness in the cloth, not that pure white is meant.
God bless you and yours, C-!arie

I suspect that this cloth might be used for clean-ups. If it is, then it is a reference to your work, Finally the blue in the cloth draws our eye to blue on the wall. I think this painting is very clever and it fits into certain ideas about art that are current today.

I used to be a cardiologist, but now I'm a normal(?) person who loves to paint! i think you slyly made the lemon look like it was going to sleep with two closed eyes. Excellent! I think the towel looks fine.
