“We have spent all day in the clouds dans la brume , enveloped in mist and rain. We did manage a walk and later I managed to get out to Carpentras and get to the specialist fruit and veg store, ' les marches de provence ' where I bought the figs—figs are still (just) in season though our neighbour's tree has finished producing for this year.”

Your purple figs are looking very delicious. Still thinking about the workshop ... I made a still life box today and will post my first painting in it on my blog soon.
