“The tin which contains 'Antichi Maestri' or Old masters medium is from Zecchi in Florence, a friend swears by it so I bought a tin a few years ago, it has been waiting for me to paint it. Michael Gitlitz, who kindly conducted and edited the interview in my book always asked me why I didn't paint more around the subject of painting (answer: probably because my studio is such a disgrace). The paint tube, a tube of Michael Harding's Kings blue was generously sent to me as a gift by a thankful recipient of this email (hello Guy).”
