“An hour or so to myself in the calm of a quiet harbour. I say calm but those who have sat down and attempted to paint boats will know that they move, they turn around and about in quite a dizzying fashion while the wind blows and then is calm, the sun comes out and the clouds return. Still, it is calming in a frustrating sort of way, like most painting!”

Nice, Julian - come back to Maine!
Love your paintings.
I am an artist inspired by your work. I have had a hiatus form painting and will work tomorrow for the first time in a long time.
Thank you for keeping me posted about your work.
Enjoy the evening
Phyllis
Oh my! What a lovely little painting this is and what a pretty blue!
I really like this piece! I can't believe you ever feel frustrated as an artist as you are so skilled but it makes me feel a bit better about my own struggles!
Happy Easter Julian, Ruth, & Louis... love the calm blues and brushstrokes. Beautiful.
