Though both were lovely. I agree that this one is more successful. When painting into the sun, you're sure to be following one of the important painting precepts... you're squinting!
A new style for you. I like this abstract approach. Very successful!
I like them both but I think the first one has more going on with reflections on the waves between the posts and the underside of the umbrella reflecting the water. I really like the outline of the light. Really wonderful.
