There is something that reminds of 19th century paintings of eastern and middle eastern subjects by Europeans. I think it's the coloring (colouring ) and the fabric detail. I don't mean that it looks copied, it just looks lovely and reminiscent but definitely Julian.
I take that as a compliment!
