“And the summer break comes to an end! I painted this in London, where I went to see Marc Dalessio who was teaching a workshop in Battersea park, I had an hour to fill before we could go off to lunch so painted the lake. Later Marc and I met up with Roy Connelly ostensibly to paint, but after 4hrs of wandering around the river and the city we eventually gave up and sat in a bar! Today the July workshop attendees arrive so hopefully we'll have a few lavender fields to show in the next week, (still a spot available for October BTW).”

What a peaceful and serene setting that you captured so well, Julian!
Well done!
Very soft and gentle. Love it.
This is convincing, lovely inspiration of serenity and calm waters. Well done, Julian.........
Lovely painting...
Yes, love the serenity of this. Thank you, Julian. So good to have your paintings to look forward to.
I am 81 years old and grew up in Battersea with this as my playground. I am in tears, I wish that I had seen your painting when it was for sale, I may have been able to afford it.
A beautiful memory recreated.
