Dear Julian, been off the radar for a while so its been a treat catching up on the last couple of beauties. Cutting the fruit open or leaving a swirl of peel (pity the mangosteen didn't deliver)moves the still lives up another level, creates even more lush texture and visual pleasure. It works wonderfully well with the little soft peeler above. The tender clementine next to the familiar pottery cup with its hard glaze is lovely and the mystic mauve on the chipped wood seems moonlit! An element of fairy tale here, a dreamy, Provencale winter night.
