Paint fast before he gets home! Nice job fellow!
Man, Julian, you know how to paint one mean strawberry!!
Looks like you are having fun painting all those strawberries! Nice one.
It is far from fair. First I loved the first, second I loved the second, now thirdly I love the third
What a gorgeous painting this is! I think you "topped" all the preceding (strawberry) ones!
I am actually salivating as I type this .... they look so lush and real, yet the painting is so loosely executed.
Perfect!!
Soooo beautiful. That light and shine and the patina of the plate too.
Dear Julian, your latest paintings, including the Essaouira suite, seems to go right to the heart of the matter. The pigments are lush, ripe and dense, or, as in the skies of Essaouira, diaphanous. The modelling has such freedom and candour, sometimes with a rich impasto. You have moved on and left dear old Chardin dozing in his chair! This rich, joyous homage to the strawberry is entirely yours.
A yummy strawberry tart with chocolate fondant and Chantilly cream...
