Dear Julian, here you really have captured the complexities of reflective glass, steel clip and rubber seal! Without over working it! The pale wheat flour contained in the thick jar is tinged with the greenish shade of thick glass, masterly. The "lobster red" of the rubber seal adds a lot of brio to the composition. Not forgetting the lovely foreshortened egg that gives a clue about a baking session. Charming!

Painter’s notes

Louis and I have been baking cakes and, as with me when I was young, he prefers the cake mixture, even though the cakes were tres reussis
