Beautiful. One can taste the juicyness ( Is that a word ?!) I love your dark backgrounds makes the subject stand out like a jewel. Lovely. I so enjoy getting your paintings. Thank you.

The composition? A perfect rhombus. The too well-centered lay out is by miracle saved by the two slightly misaligned strawberries in the axis of the picture. The stalks oddly seem to stroll upon the fruits body, giving that way a kind of motion to this hieratic still life.

I admire the way the light and shadow is deployed on the strawberries. The amateur photographer gets a lesson once again.

Dear Julian, juicy, sweet and very ripe, the strawberries won't last long if left sitting on that Spanish dish for long.Guess that is not going to happen! Love that pottery dish, goes beautifully with the berries.
