Julian, I can't/don't/won't even eat bread (I love it; it doesn't love me) but this loaf has me longing. Glad it's artwork. It's so well done it (nearly) satisfies the lust!

When I was little, my dad would take me to the corner store. He would by a newspaper, and a freshly delivered loaf of bread in a paper wrapper. When we got home the end looked much like this one. Nice memory for me; thank you.
Shades of Manet - that's what I'm reminded of - I love his still lifes, too, Julien. Your painting is just right and lovely.
