Julian, I just finished Cherries last nite, and I have to say that beyond adoring the book (Ruth is a most excellent writer) and falling in love with your journey and work even more (if that's at all possible), it's made me linger and appreciate your posts with a different perspective. Lord knows I've consumed a fair amount of wine at my own easel, and I understand the trials and delights of painting daily, but now I feel as though I've been in your studio and shared your journey on a deeper level (as opposed to tangentally). Thanks so much for sharing your eyes, your paintings, and your life. Hugs to Louis from Michigan and thank Ruth, too, for her sacrifices and trust! Kim Santini
Julian, I just want you to know how much I'm enjoying your paintings and narratives every day. It brings back wonderful memories of a long ago visit. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us.
One of the most magnificent trees I've seen in any painting, past or present. And to think it's contained in a 5x7!
I share your comment.Nothing to add,as to me.
I love knowing through your work that such old roads exist. You capture that nostalgia I feel for that dusty morning light, and the quiet, and the fresh smell. Thanks.
