“I always look to Fantin-Latour when painting peaches, I can only think that peach varieties were different in the 19th century!”

Looks like you could lift the jug and eat the peaches.
Beautiful.
I think peaches are one of the most difficult fruit/subjects to paint with their lack of definate highlight and their "fuzziness" but I think also that you have done a pretty good job here. Bravo!
This is stunning - your peaches are sublime. I love the subtle color you used.
Lovely.
Did Fantin-Latour ever get round to the peaches shaped like circular buttoned cushions? And can you get them? Wonderful taste, magical appearance - and much less messy to eat! (Well - it's a sort of Feedback!)
Julian, this is YUMMY!
