Am I the victim of a hallucination?
These strawberries seem to me as candied fruits in a chocolate plate surrounded by a sine curve of ...Whipped cream!Even the table seems to be in milk chocolate!
I have the impression this "innocent" painting is like a vibrant celebration of the weakness for sweet things.
Scrumptious, Julian! (There's a Delius tone poem by that name, did you know? - "On hearing the first cuckoo in Spring" ! Personally, I prefer a handful of glistening strawberries, in a charming pie dish.
Hi Julian,
a painter myself, I have to tell you, of all the strawberries, of the daily painters (thousand of them), and the one's I made, this stands apart, a true Masterpiece . Regards
Mariano
The fiest cuckoo in the Vosges is called le coucou de niege...I think it means just one more snow fall before Spring is finally here. Hope you don't have to suffer that! In the meantime, what delicious, sensuous starwberries. I agree w/ Alain...decadent!
