“These agricultural buildings, dotted all over the landscape, seem so substantial to our eyes—built of stone with solid oak beams holding up roman tiled roofs—but I think little else would stand up to the rigours of the Provençal weather with it's ferocious winds and blasting light. This one has seen better days.”

OK so it is knife work. Sure looks like tiles to me.
