Beautiful sense of sweeping space and ethereal color! Also, as a longtime reader, I appreciate the changes that you have made so that the image appears full size in Google Reader!
yes, that looks cold and wintery but hope you and Ruth have a warm and hapy new year. as always i shall look forward to yr.posts.
We have a day here much like the one you've painted. Cold bright sky, warm glowing earth... you make us see the beauty in a winter landscape devoid of snow. Happy New Year to you, too.
Dear Julian, First of all best wishes for you and yours... for an even more creative, healthy new year. This painting shows you had cold hands, looking at the strikes of your brush. I will stay admiring your paintings. love Marjan

Happy New Year Julian and Ruth. Thanks for sharing your part of the world in your beautiful paintings. Daniel
Julian, thank you for these gifts you send. I can feel the crispness in the air of this view and warmed by the thought that my very own painting will arrive soon...
The sense of space and crispness in the air is beautifully done! Happy New Year wishes to you too, Julian, and thank you for all the paintings that appear in my email. You inspire artists tremendously with your commitment to painting, your success in a new art market, and most of all, these wonderful paintings.

Hi Julian ... I grew up in the New England area of Australia, and this work is so reminiscent of an early spring morning there. Cold air and cool colours, with a promise of warmer days to come. Maybe some wishful thinking on your part? Thank you as always. All the best for 2011 to you and yours.
How absolutely beautiful! What a way to start the year. Thank you so very much for posting the most gorgeous work, time and time again. Happiest of New Years to you and Ruth in 2011.
