“The weather had returned to balmy yesterday reaching a heady 20°C (68°F). Today, however, the mistral returned and a trip to Avignon for a friends birthday lunch was more invigorating than predicted. I spent about 30 mins arranging clementines, peeling them, eating them, as you do after a rich lunch, until finally I had only this one left.”

that is a really nice little painting, i really like the subtle orange hints around the shadow, that really give the table a warm glow and help us feel the light.
I literally just peeled and ate one of these and then came this into my inbox. Yummy in both cases!
An inner glow that might be able to light up the night!
Julian,
I absolutely adore receiving your painting each day and now that you are adding a little note I feel like we are old friends. Your paintings take me over the moon and to hear about the weather makes me so homesick for another trip to France. It is a very pleasant feeling. Please continue.
Peace,
Melissa Gill
Julian, every time you paint a clementine I'm reminded of my late Golden Retriever, Clementine. She was a sweet as I'm sure that clementine was. Nice work.
Thank you Julian, for the amazing lifelike paintings you send every day. Your fruit and vegetables are so lifelike, one can almost reach out and touch them! I would like to see more of your landscapes. Your colours are beautiful.
i like the illumination within the clementine on the shadow side.
