The nice thing is you get to eat the props.
Julian, here are both my visual and verbal comments on that: http://richardbarrypaintings.blogspot.com/2010/09/peach-with-cheddar-cheese.html
not to mention getting the tricky perspective of the knife, which is spot on! you must enjoy a good challenge. a very happy holidays to you!
I was thinking to myself, how is he going to top the butter painting from yesterday. By george, you've done it! What a wonderful series. I am glad you are stuck in dairy land!
Taxing or not, the outcomes are worth it. At least you resisted eating your subjects before the work was completed
I like to work with colors that are quite similar. My best work is in the greys and blacks with slight nuancaes in the reds and roses. You are superior in tone and drawing. Susannah

You have mastered your technique. I look forward to receiving your paintings every day. Thank you again. Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for a Happy, Healthy New Year to you and your family. Brenda Wilburn
This painting with the warm colours of the bread and cheese recalls similar moments in France when I was ready for some bread and cheese. It is impossible to resist the cheese and baguettes there, and you have created the moment of anticipation just before the knife cuts into the cheese.
