WHAT COLORS DID YOU USE TO MAKE THAT BLUE -GREEN?
Love the color in the background. A nice switch from your darker backgrounds. Good move.
So much to say, so much to tell...But most of all,an unexplainable subjugation.
Man, I thought I ate alot of plums. All gorgeous but I prefer this bigger, fatter California plums.
Wow. This is stunning... I 'm with Joseph, how was that green blue made?... once again, it is just such a deep pleasure for the eyes to visit here.
You're plums get tastier every day. I find myself coveting them....
Yummy!
It is so beautiful to see the contrast of the plums against that wonderful blue background! They just completely pop!!
What a spectacular contrast between the plums and the aqua/blue-green background with shadows on the right. Thank you!
superb!
The blue reappears in a lighter value. Love that blue. It's a wonderful combination with the warmth of your plums. Will you ever tell us what blue in the tube you began with? Or is it a blue we all should know but that you have mastered in its many possible aspects?
It's a mixture, for the whole painting I used titanium white, cadmium yellow, raw sienna, cadmium red, burnt sienna, permanent alizaron, manganese violet, pthalo blue, manganese blue, ultramarine blue, permanent green and mars black, which is give or take a few colours a pretty standard palette for me.
Thank you, Julian. I use a very limited palatte, but I will experiment with some of the colors on yours. Thanks again.
Julian, This painting is just so lovely. My painter self resonates "yes". Thank you for inspiring and blessing me. Joyce
That is a gorgeous shade of green, really works well with those plums! a great series, all those different plums.
