I love this. I can't look at it without imagining the feeling of splitting that apricot in half.
Absolutely sublime, Julian - You are the master of understatement.
Delightful colours! I feel my brain level of dopamine is overflowing!
Wow!...hot and cool. I can taste those apricots and the heat of the summer sun. I love the reflections in the right apricot (?) and on the blue pot. This is a perfect painting for the first day of summer.
Classic beauty in simple design.
I can feel the fuzz of their skin on my lips, and the sensation of pulling the flesh from the seed. Lovely.
perfecta pictura!
Perfect spotlight effect for high drama! A well set stage.
One of the most beautiful consequences of a sublime painting such as this is the triggering of a sweet memory. Ah, that apricot tree on the side of my childhood home in Utah, ripe, fragrant fruit close enough to pluck by my outstretched hand and steady 7 year-old tippy-toes.

Good grief! My apologies for the repeating comments. Server problems. Sigh...
