The light is just fantastic! That winter sun is doing it's best to warm these gorgeous buildings. Wow!
PER-FECT!
just perfect!
The winter light cutting through the dark, cold shadows is stunning, Julian. Great stuff!
What a week of stunning paintings. Congratulations. And thanks :)
great painting!
What wonderful light - especially since we have been having the greyest of weather after the snow!
It make one look forward to Spring.
Julian,
This maybe my most favorite landscape yet. Thank you!
Best,
Kathy
This painting is orchestrated by the contrast of the brilliant blue of the sky of a winter sky and the grey blue of the mountain in contrast with the warm colours of the buildings. It recalls the previous painting of the pear with the bright blue background. Of course, as people are absent, I wonder where they are and what they are doing. It is very mysterious.
