Delicious.
The shoulder on the tall vase and the transition from gray to yellow ocher (so unexpected but completely accurate) along with the two super discrete yet different colored horizontal highlights. If this were American televison someone would yell out, "Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!" You just might throw clay in your next career.
wow! That is amazing! If this was the still life you were having trouble with, you sure did conquer it! 'if I were a rich man'....lalalalala
When it comes to painting still-life Julian, "you da man!"
Bravo! That's one luscious painting Julian.
beautiful painting!
What interests me aside from the lively colours so expertly orchestrated is the use of the delft vase that you purchased in Amsterdam and the one(?) in the rear that has an interesting finish. Your clementines look fresher than mine and I would eat at least two. Thanks for this on a day that we are having the inside of our house painted with all the disruptions that involves.
I wish I could afford this. It is beautiful.
