November Roses

These pink roses and those I see In Toronto are a delightful gift given that it is late November. Roses seem fragile, but in the right place they continue to bloom despite the cold (I've seen them in bloom in Paris in Feb.). Your brush has given shape to the rose in bloom and a vivid colour that gives the flower its name. Your daily paintings remind me to see and not scan. Thanks Julian for all the 'rose' paintings in 2009.
