May I have a bite? (These look so luscious!)
The painting of lavender fields have been so beautiful, and I looked at Ruth's photo link to see your inspiration. Just beautiful.
Thank you both.
Hello Ruth and Julian I am just coming from a wonderful part of Bretagne (Tregastel,Perros Guirrec, Côtes de granit rose) and discovered the latter paintings: stunning!
I like so much "Route de la lavande"and "Dans la vallée de Sault".
Thanks a lot CW for your compliments on July 10: I think Julian's art step by step allows me to discover myself .

Masterful the way you've depicted the bloom (or it's absence where it's been rubbed off, been bruised or eaten away by insects). Many painters make the bloom secondary to the over-all form of the plum but here, in your composition & the way it's lit (you've got an umbrella now on those photographic lamps?), you've made the bloom apparent first-off.
