This painting is one of your loveliest. Wish I could be there to paint, too. Anne
Simply exquisite. Love those matching sweeps of lavender, field and sky. Shirley
Compelling composition a deep delight: the dynamic interplay of lines wows me!
I am so enjoying the beautiful lavender fields you have been painting, it must be a sight to behold. I'm wondering what does it smell like? Is it an incredible scent of lavender?
Julian: I'm there, in the field of lavender and loving it. Thankyou for the journey! Bernie Aronson
So much depth and great muted color, one of my favorites, hope you both are well.
The scent should slow the riders of the Tour de France down momentarily as they cycle down this route on Saturday! It is heady and quite unbelieveable as one descends in to the valley of Sault. The harvest is just beginning and I took some pictures which you can see here. http://meanwhilehereinfrance.blogspot.com/2009/07/lavender-harvest.html#comments
Keep painting. I need to learn.
